WELCOME

Congregation Rodef Sholom is an Orthodox Jewish synagogue located at the south end of Atlantic City, NJ, just steps from Ventnor & 1 block off the boardwalk.

Minyan times for this week are:

SHACHARIT at 8:00 am M-F, Sunday at 8:30 am. Shabbat at 9:00 with a Torah class at 8:30 am

MINCHA / MA'ARIV will be at 7:00 pm for the rest of the Summer for every day of the week

except for Saturday night, when Shabbat ends when the 3 stars come out

and on Friday night, when Shabbat servcies will start with Minha at 7:00 PM

We love visitors, and have many during the Summer months.

SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE: Aug. 29/30 Parsha Shoftim

Rabbi Yehoshua Weber of Montebello, NY and Toronto, Canada will be visiting. He'll be assisting in services, reading torah, and offering torah insights. He is known to incorporate history, science, and anthropology into his shiurim.

A note from our President

As we approach Labor Day, and the unofficial end to Summer '25 our congregation is just ramping up for both the High Holy Days, and the best kept secret in the area. September and October weather. Consider joining us for the holidays, and imagine the perfect temperatures for our Succah.

Thursday Evening 30 minutes before Mincha

Shabbat Morning Torah Class 8:30 AM before services

Eruv

The eruv is checked (usually) the day before the holiday or Shabbat.

The current status of the erev is:

The Inland portion of the Eruv is Up--The portion that runs from Dudley to SeaDorf on the West side of Atlantic Avenue and over to the Bay.

The Boardwalk section is down.

In addition, the Park extension by Somerset (by the playground) between Atlantic and the Boardwalk is also down.

Many times the status is not known early enough to be posted here.

ERUV Notices

1. Parts of the eruv are under construction. Please wait for the Friday email from our President

2. The eruv does not include Winchester from Suffolk Avenue to Dudley.

Please use Ventnor Avenue if you are walking that way on Shabbos and carrying anything.
